Mercz

Over the course of their time here on Earth, a lot of the Zyn have been inundated by the mountains of pop culture that are constantly bombarding our world. Several of the Zyn have become quite enamored with the different characters and properties available and have started to emulate their new heroes and idols. This has caused some problems within the Zyn hierarchy, as they expect their drones to do what they were assigned to do, without any variance of any kind, resulting in most being told to conform or they will be “removed.” This caused most to strike out on their own, calling themselves Mercz and hiring themselves out to their former Faction teams in exchange for resources to survive. They’re able to do so because, despite leadership’s inability to accept their need for individuality, the Mercz have proven their skill and usefulness in combat situations enough to allow the higher-ups to ignore their presence in the field. The Mercz from the Terra Faction have found far less push-back from their peers, though they still hire themselves out to other Factions as well.

Because of their newly found drive for individuality, the Mercz have varied histories with no direct, shared backstory. They do, however, share one common trait; the need to be free of whatever rigid guidelines their former Factionz held to, so that they can forge their own destinies with the help of like-minded individuals.
